Foxwell Patrol & Ambush Progression

Foxwell Enforcement is lore-based out of New Junction on Lo (the Corel system), but its Patrol/Ambush contracts actually run in Stanton. Progress is gated by how many missions you've completed, not a reputation score — clear enough yellow-tier work (Ambush An Amateur, Surprise Strike) and orange/red contracts like Spring a Trap and the pure-space-combat Potential Security Threat unlock, paying out in tradeable Mercenary Guild Scrips.

MISSION BRIEFING

Foxwell progression is contract-state driven: finish the visible entry pool, then recheck the same issuer for follow-up work.

Patrol markers can represent open space, orbital approaches or surface facilities, so plan fuel and gear from the accepted briefing.

Ambush objectives are safest when the combat group and mission owner do not arrive as one target.

Completion credit is more valuable than loot; wait for the contract state to update after every major objective.

ROUTE INTELLIGENCE

Where you are going

01
Personal mobiGlas, Contracts tab while in the eligible jurisdiction

mobiGlas Contract Manager

Accept, inspect, share and verify the active Foxwell objective.

Approach: Open the full briefing and party-share control before takeoff.
02
The quantum or HUD marker created by the accepted contract

Patrol waypoint volume

Triggers patrol, scan or combat stages.

Approach: Arrive at normal speed, identify hostiles, then wait for the objective prompt.
03
A contract-marked orbital station, landing zone or surface facility

Station or outpost approach

Provides a legal landing/boarding context for a patrol leg.

Approach: Request landing or use the marked exterior route; do not assume every structure is freely accessible.
04
A nearby but unmarked safe orbit, ridge or travel waypoint

Ambush staging point

Lets the team scout the live mission location before committing valuable ships.

Approach: Keep it close enough for a quick response but outside immediate hostile fire.

LOADOUT LOGIC

What you need and why

requiredCombat-capable quantum ship

Patrol chains can mix travel and ship combat across several locations.

Alternative: A rented fighter plus a second player in a support ship.
recommendedBasic FPS kit

Some mission locations can require landing, boarding or recovery on foot.

Alternative: Keep a cheap spare kit at the regeneration location.
requiredRepair, refuel and rearm reserve

A long chain may require several combat legs before any payout is collected.

No substitute listed
recommendedVoice comms and named navigator

Separates route and contract management from flying and target calling.

No substitute listed
optionalScout or fast interceptor

Useful for checking an ambush marker and preserving the mission owner.

Alternative: Use the main ship cautiously and keep an immediate quantum exit available.

VISUAL CHECKS

What to look for

Issuer and jurisdiction

The contract must still identify Foxwell in the eligible area; a similarly named general mission will not necessarily progress the track.

Destination type

Look for whether the briefing specifies open space, a station, a surface installation or multiple patrol points.

Live objective update

After a patrol, scan or kill stage, verify the HUD and Contract Manager advance before leaving.

Escalation cue

A new color-tier offer, altered enemy warning or multi-location briefing indicates the next level should be reread rather than rushed.

Safe arrival route

Check for hostiles, restricted pads or terrain before the full party lands at the marker.

04
RECOVERY PLAYBOOK

When it goes wrong

No higher-tier Foxwell offer appears.

Confirm the entry mission completed rather than merely paid, wait for the contract list to refresh, then check the same issuer and jurisdiction on a fresh session if needed.

A patrol point does not advance.

Stay inside the marker volume, complete the stated action exactly, and wait for an objective update before travelling to another waypoint.

The group has different markers.

Have the original contract holder reshare from the party interface; do not rely on a manually placed beacon as mission proof.

An ambush overwhelms the team.

Break contact, regroup at the staging point, repair and re-enter with scouting and a designated extraction call.

A station landing or access route is blocked.

Use the contract marker and normal ATC or exterior approach; if access remains unavailable, do not force trespass and re-evaluate the active objective text.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Rewards and progression

Mercenary Guild Scrips, tradeable for exclusive items — the chain's signature reward, on top of standard aUEC mission payouts.

Access to higher-colour-tier offers, unlocked by completion count rather than a reputation score.

FINAL GO / NO-GO

Departure checklist

Open the full Foxwell briefing.

Share the contract before launch.

Check fuel, repair state and recovery funds.

Identify the first destination type.

Confirm every intermediate HUD update.

Scout ambushes before the full group arrives.

Keep the contract owner alive through completion.

Verify final completion before looting or chaining another job.

Step-by-step route6 stages
  1. 01

Read the entry patrol before launching

In mobiGlas Contract Manager, open the Foxwell offer rather than accepting from the list view. Note whether the destination is a space marker, a surface outpost, a station vicinity or several patrol waypoints, then share it from the party interface before departing.

  2. 02

    Complete entry patrols cleanly

Route to the first mission marker through the star map or cockpit HUD, arrive with weapons held until the contract identifies a hostile, and finish each requested patrol point. Wait for the upper-screen objective change after every site; moving on early can leave the chain incomplete.

  3. 03

    Follow the tiered offers

Return to Contract Manager after completion and filter the same issuer/category for newly available yellow, orange or red work — real named contracts include "Yellow Level Contract: Ambush An Amateur", "Yellow Level Contract: Surprise Strike", "Orange Level Contract: Spring a Trap" and "Orange Level Contract: Potential Security Threat" (entirely space combat, 8-10 hostile fighters at once). Unlocking is based on how many missions you've completed, not a reputation score, so grinding the same low tier repeatedly does progress you toward the next colour.

  4. 04

    Treat patrols as multi-leg routes

For routes that combine travel, scanning and combat, let the navigator track the active waypoint and use scan mode only when the briefing or HUD asks for it. At stations and outposts, use the marked landing pad, hangar or exterior approach rather than forcing a shortcut through restricted space.

  5. 05

    Stage an ambush response

For an ambush marker, have the scout arrive first and report ship count, terrain and hostile fire before the cargo or slower ship commits. Keep a quantum exit line clear and avoid parking all crew at the same beacon or surface landing spot.

  6. 06

    Protect mission credit

Keep the contract owner alive, confirm the final completion notification, and only then loot, refuel or take the next offer. If the objective counter does not change, keep the team in the relevant area long enough for a server update before abandoning the route.

Field notes

Do not abandon a chain casually; failed or abandoned offers can delay the next available step.

Foxwell Enforcement runs a large pool — around 77 released contracts — and its entries are additionally tagged in the mission database with the standard contractor and security standings: Security Trainee (1), Jr. Contractor (800), Contractor (2,200), Jr. Security Contractor (5,000), Sr. Contractor (5,800), Veteran Contractor (15,000), Security Contractor (30,000) and Head Contractor (38,000). If the colour tiers seem stuck despite plenty of completions, check those standings in Delphi before assuming the chain is bugged.

Keep one navigator on the contract screen instead of asking the pilot to manage every marker.

Treat the briefing and live objective text as authoritative when community routes disagree.

Bring enough fuel for multiple legs and an unplanned recovery jump.
